Where in the folds of time,
did he disappear?

Did he shrink
due to the burden of responsibilities
that time brings?

Or did he fade,
from all the nonrecognition?
All the ignoring?

Or did he just changed?
Seeing the same world
with a different set of eyes!

Who is the saddest man in the world right now?
the one with the broken heart?
the one with the crushed soul?
Or,
The one shattered in so many pieces,
that morphine is a mild drug?

Pain comes in many forms.
Which is the one,
you embrace?

What Ifs?

So easy,

to fall in love,

So hard to stay in it.

Hard words and icy stare

replace what was once your heartbeat.

In a blink of an eye,

moments become memory,

Nostalgia turns to tear

wasted and sinful,

Everything that you once held dear.

The bricks we hurl

of indifference, angry words

Hateful silence,unsaid feelings

soon become wounds so deep

There is no healing.

And we are left grasping at straws

answering our what ifs?
