why so negative!?

Just ranting guys you have been warned

Is negativity a predominant human trait?
What is with all this negativity?

Take for example the recent ALS ice bucket challenge. On the one hand, I don't approve of people aping current trend without understanding the impact, we have to agree that it has brought the ALS disease into mainstream attention and hopefully opened doors for others to initiate such viral ideas that can help draw attention to many obscure diseases/causes/projects etc (take your pick here). I find it funny and hypocritical that people who would happily throw a gazillion “lolas”(water balloons) and dump buckets of water from their rooftop during Holi, complain about half a bucket of water and a packets of ice.

Similarly I see posts after posts by people about the aftermath of the "Largest Human Flag project". No one bothers that 35000+ people braved rain, muddy Tundikhel ground, fainting people, aching arms, thirst etc to achieve that. I brought my cards home, many didn't. But  WE have couch pundits who slept through that Saturday and share pictures undermining the effort(insane amount) of so many people who actually wanted to do something good!

I am pretty sure that even if we had collected all the cards( which was done later) people would have still complained and it would eventually be littered by peanuts shells, noodle packets etc by those people who hang around Tundikhel because lets be honest, we do lack Civic sense(no spitting in public and from moving buses, dispose of wrappers properly, you get the drift!)

Maybe its Evolution? You know, survival techniques honed over generations to see negativity in everything. Everyone is entitled to an opinion(this piece is also an opinion) but those very people who try nothing for themselves, forming ideas about everything else is not something that I find amusing.

I don't understand what it is, but I hope our couch pundits who stay in the warmth of their blankets, with a steaming cup of tea/coffee(or a stiff one for that matter) stop being so judgmental, stop wagging their fingers, but instead lift their hands to help, to support a cause and you know, stop being such a pain!
